MULTI-FANDOM/INERESTS/HOBBIES/WHATEVER-THE-F***-EVER FRIENDING MEME

With people moving along to other social networking sites, and people’s journal’s becoming less and less active, you are probably like me and seeing more and more of dead journals on your f-list. Well, here is a chance to find some active people who are into the same fandoms and hobbies you are into. Go on and have fun.

*Suggestions for Making Friends:

1.    No drama, meaning no bashing each other, characters, pairings, fandoms, etc.  If you are really, really easily offended by, hell, I don’t know, someone’s icon or grammar or something else trivial, live with it  This is the only ‘real’ rule, and if it’s happening I will warn you if it is minor or ban you if it’s a major problem.

2.    Be active on LJ, meaning at least 1 entry every 1-2 months at the very least.

3.    Be  willing to read and comment on journal entries of the people you friend here. No one expects you to comment on everything or RIGHT AWAY, but we all like active LJers.  If you are looking to just watch someone’s journal, that’s fine, but tell that that first. And if you are just looking for more numbers under “friends” on your profile page, come on, don’t bother.

4.    If your journal is a purely fanworks, mention it. Nothing against them of course, but this makes it much more important that people have fandoms in common with you.

5.     No picture at the end if you have the self control not too lol. Reason? To bring attention to the actual content of your post. Liking somone’s funny picture isn’t the best way to judge whether you will get along or have much in common with the person. (speaking from experiences)  XD

Chat here as much as you want. It's all about getting to know each
other.
I don't care if there are lots and lots of comments under your post. I don't think it floods the place, but makes it friendlier and more open.

*Copy-Paste this into your post, delete my crap in "()" and fill in your own stuff out.  "()" are there to make it easier to see where to write with the formatting crap in-between

:

*Feel free to personalize/improve it with font colors or add new prompts as you see fit to get as much information about yourself as you wish out there. I made it the most basic fill-out for those who do not like long questionnaires. Go with your own trend and style to make it fun!

Alternatively, Copy-Paste from here:

Name/Age/Location:  (At least give a name or nickname. Keeping your age and location private is fine)

A little Info About Yourself : (optional. Could include what you do for a living or what your major is if you are in college.)

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In:  (Example: anime, TV series, manga, DC comics Jpop bands)

Other Interests or Hobbies: (if you have any.)

Fandoms: (Just maybe the top 5 you are into right now, or if you don't have them all listed elsewhere go ahead and feel free to list them all here. If you have them all listed in your profile, just link it. Just a suggestion. It’s easier. )

Pairings:   (Top 5-10. see fandoms)

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal:   (Example: Cussing, sexual content, etc.  If you have an issue with topics/opinions/what-have-you that is fairly common or even uncommon, let people know here, to avoid future issues.  No one will judge for being picky, but if you are, do let it be known.)

What You Like In a Person (Example: nice, good sense of humor, non-judgmental)

What My Journal Consist of:  (just a breakdown of % of fandom posts, reviews, fanworks, IRL posts, etc)

*Share this by posting what is in the box below to a journal entry. It's not going to hurt my feelings if you don't bother, but its like shitting where you sleep in terms of finding friends. No linking, no more new people.

How to do this: (when I first was on LJ I had no idea so..)

1. CTRL+C the stuff in the box.
2. Go to your journal, post a new entry, click on HTML in the right had corner of the entry box you type in and CRTL+V it in there.
3. Switch back to "Rich Text" and it should appear there.
4. Click "post entry" and profit?

Name/Age/Location: Steph (I'm a guy btw), 18, and from the Philippines

A little Info About Yourself : I'm currently in college taking up Animation. I do a lot of original fiction, art, graphic design, reading, and fangasming.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: A WHOLE LOT of animated series/movies (including manga and anime), some live-action stuff, a few comics, and video games on the side.

Other Interests or Hobbies: As I already wrote: Writing, Art, Reading, Movies, Music, and stuff analogous to that.

Fandoms:  Top five, huh? Well, let's see... Korra, Sims, Disney, How To Train Your Dragon, and all things Nintendo.

Pairings: I can't think of any right now...sorry... :3

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Not a lot, really--but animal abuse triggers me greatly.

What You Like In a Person I'm really just open to anyone and everyone, regardless of who they are or what they do. So I have no specifics.

What My Journal Consist of: A lot of writing and art stuff, some college stuff, a few fangasming here and there, and the occasional (or more than that) meme.

Ah, I'm sorry about the 5 top fandom limit thing! It's not a rule. XD I meant if you didn't have a list elsewhere you could just link it to make it easier for yourself. Anyway I cleared that up.

It's nice to meet you Steph. The last animated movie I saw was Brave, but my favorite relatively recent one was 9, because it had a pretty deep plot. I'm a big fan of the older films like Watership Down and the Last Unicorn. I guess, the more adult themed western animation. Non-Disney, I loved Anastasia, and I think it did a better job of making a Princess then any of the past Disney movies did aside from Belle. Recently, they have made some stronger females, which I prefer.

Have you played the Kingdom Hearts game series? It seems something you'd like since it is a combo of SE and Disney. I'm mostly a gamer but I do watch the latest animated firms that come out and do enjoy reviewing and talking about them. I don't usually get a chance too, because there are only a few people on my f-list currently that are big on animation. I know its not your main fandom genre, but what games do you play on the side?

I like to cut to the chase early, heh. I would not mind friending you and getting to know you.

I'm fine with just five fandoms. It helps me know what I'm active in and what I'm not.

9 was fantastic; Brave, equally so. Anastasia was amazing; it's terribly underrated, in my opinion. Other stuff I find underrated is Road to El Dorado, The Prince of Egypt, and Titan AE.

That game has been on my to-get list for forever. Too poor to afford games--for now, at least. As for other games, I play mostly Nintendo stuff, like Super Mario, Earthbound/Mother, a bit of Legend of Zelda, and some Professor Layton. But the one I'm really enjoying as of late is Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

And of course! Adding you right now. :)

A little Info About Yourself : Game developer. Yeah, somehow I put food on my table this way. Don't ask how.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Video games, anime, manga, TV, Pixiv Fantasia(and a few other Pixiv community RPs)

Other Interests or Hobbies: Pixel art! I actually got paid to do it. Still can't believe it.

Fandoms: Old video games, which now means everything pre-Xbox360/PS3 but especially Dreamcast, Saturn, PS1, SNES and Genesis games. Phantasy Star Online. If you play PSO2, I'm on ships 7 and 9. I don't post about it much cuz I'd rather play :D
Currently into: Dexter, Gin no Saji(Silver Spoon) Pixiv Fantasia(planning for next year) and Sword Art Online.

Pairings: I'm the last person on earth you should come to if you want to talk about this sort of thing. I'm more interested in making-ofs and the occasional bizarre "what if" scenario and MST3King.
LOL, given my ambivalence to pairings, it's amazing distorted_r is still friends with me. LOL

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Personal attacks, bad grammar, really large photos that aren't under f-cuts(though I do love seeing photos people post as long as they aren't poorly taken.)

What You Like In a Person: Non-drama llamas who share similar interests.

What My Journal Consist of: Some of the dumbest drivel you'll ever read about on the internet.

If you want to friend me, please reply here, I don't have a generic "friend me here!" post.

Pixiv fascinates me; there's a whole lot of artists on there I keep tabs on, especially those that do really amazing backgrounds and all that.

I love pre-Xbox 360/PS3 games; the PS2 and the N64 is where it's at. I'm glad the latter still works perfectly for me; now if only my SNES would work...

And drivel is always interesting. So, mind if I add you? :)

A little Info About Yourself : I work full time. I play video games whenever I can, I love small animals, and I'm in love with a dinglebutt.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In:  Games, Anime, a bit of cartoon

Other Interests or Hobbies: Sleeping, reading, writing, drawing

Fandoms: Suikoden, Final Fantasy (IX mostly), Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Tales of..., Dragon Ball Z, Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra, Fairy Tail

Pairings: Hmm, I guess my OTPs from my top fandoms will suffice: Viktor/Flik, Prince/Lyon, Zidane/Garnet, Riku/Sora, N/Hilbert/Hilda, Llyod/Colette (or Zelos), Zuko/Aang and canon pairings, Natsu/Gray. I ship tons of things. I'm a multishipper.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: I don't like it when people are too judgmental of others, quick to jump to conclusions, or are easily offended and won't accept apologies. I make mistakes. I'm willing to be told I'm making someone uncomfortable and should consider my thoughts and word choice. I'm not willing to be called sexist/ableist/ass-ist/whateverist scum who is ruining the very fabric of society, or whatever. On the flip side, no blatant misogyny or homophobia allowed in my personal bubble either.

What You Like In a Person If you aren't any of what I said in the previous spot, I think you're good.

What My Journal Consist of:  Not much at the moment. Just me trying to sort out my life. I'm more likely to comment on other peoples journals than update my own, though I do try to post at least once a week or so.

Name/Age/Location: Mayanas, I'm 29, comes from Denmark.

A little Info About Yourself : I read a lot, anything from astrophysics to regency romance (not that I necessarily understand any of it!)

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Mainly book fandoms.. all sorts.

Other Interests or Hobbies: Crochet, cats, football (soccer), puzzles, gardening.

Fandoms: Harry Potter, LOTR, lots of minor ones, mainly historical or fantasy.

Pairings: Draco/Hermione, Draco/Ron, and many, many others. Mulitshipping FTW!

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Not much? It really depends, and when there's something, I don't think it's the journal I object to... unless it's got a colour-scheme that hurts my head. That i can't stand.

What You Like In a Person That can be lots of things, depending on the individual. I like humour, cheerfulness, squee, and I like geeky thoughts on stuff, honesty, open-mindedness, being non-judgemental, etc. Oh, dear, the list just goes on and on. :D

What My Journal Consist of: Nothing much atm, I admit, but here's hoping that could change! I could post pictures of my cats on a daily basis (but I refrain and spam my facebook instead..) In general I comment a lot more on other people's stuff than I write my own here (I'm thinking of becoming a lot more active; it has just taken some time to buid up the courage to blog in English.)

Hi! :)

My name is Jeanette, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Germany. Like you, I love Harry Potter and I also like LotR, so we definitely would have something to talk about. Well, I love Denmark, so I would love to have a Danish friend, to be honest. May I add you?

Germany? Practically neighbors! Despite trying to learn German for 5(!) years in school I'm terribly inept at it, though I've always liked the country and the language. :)

True and I have already been to Denmark a couple of times. Most of the time I went to Copenhagen during Christmas times.
Well, I always wanted to learn Danish because I like the language and the country (Isn't it funny how we like each others countries and languages? :D), but the only courses they offer on my area are classes for advanced learners. =/

I'm not a member of ravelry (or.. I might be, actually, come to think of it) but that's more to do with the fact that I suck at following patterns and usually go there for inspiration and then free-style it. I don't post much crochet either; I usually crochet in spurts of a few weeks till my hand begins to ache and force me to take a break. so depending on the size of whatever I'm working I might no finish it.

I'm a member of crochetcrochet here though, and love seeing what other people make!

A little Info About Yourself : Hello friends I am a minimum wage slave. I don't go to college or anything and I spend most of my time hanging out with my boyfriend who I play video games with.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: ANIME AND THE VIDYA

Other Interests or Hobbies: I like drawing fanart and writing fanfiction a lot. My OC Raine is a hobby all on her own.

Fandoms: Xenosaga, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Utena, Tales of Symphonia.

Pairings: KOS-MOSxShion, UtenaxAnthy.......................I think that's it. I'm not a big canon shipper.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: I'm open to pretty much anything. I'm one of those people who wants to be able to talk about anything to a person.

What You Like In a Person: Good sense of humor, not uptight, non-judgmental... Generally a cool and awesome d00d

What My Journal Consist of: Right now (fandom wise) I'm posting about Tales of and Kingdom Hearts DDD. But mostly my journal is whinings of life and sexual things. YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT.

 Name/Age/Location:  Erin/24 (going on 25)/Great Plains, USA

A little Info About Yourself : Was a Graphic Design/Art Major in college. Been out for just over a year. Working on developing a wider web design portfolio while working as a graphic design intern at a project consulting firm.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In:  Videogames, movies, books, anime, television shows.

Other Interests or Hobbies: I draw sporadically (college basically killed my ability to draw for fun, so I've been working on slowly finding the fun in it again), write a lot (working on a few fic projects and a couple Original Fiction projects as well), and periodically do some design work that isn't work-related. (I'm very interested in the art of gig posters, so I like to mess with designing those every now and again)

Fandoms: I'm most active in the Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Transformers (Bayverse) fandoms, but I dabble in a ton of others. My profile lists a few more, though even that list isn't quite comprehensive.

Pairings:   Chris/Jill; Billy/Rebecca (Resident Evil), Tony/Pepper (MCU). I'm a pretty open shipper most of the time (there's only a few pairings I won't ship under any circumstances), so there's a ton of ships out there I like, but don't love, and most of the reason I don't love them is because it's hard finding fic that I think is good for said pairings. (I'm picky about my characterization and if the ship is written in a way that makes everyone OOC, I won't like it. Show me an in-character interpretation of it and there's little I won't like)

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal:   Lots of sexual content, consistently negative posts (I'm okay with ranting as needed, but if all you ever post is ranting about something that upset you, we're not likely to get along very well), people who don't cut their posts (especially if they're posting photos)

What You Like In a Person Non-judgemental, open-minded people who are willing to listen to other opinions in fandom (I try to avoid posting about or engaging in discussions about politics and ideologies on my blog, though people I friend are definitely free to do so and I'll sometimes throw in my two cents. I'm an opinionated person, but I hate confrontation, so it's easier on me and my stress levels to keep that off my personal blog)

What My Journal Consist of:  It's about 50% fandom and 50% RL on any given basis, though most of the RL stuff I talk about relates to fandom in some way right now, since I only really post about my friends' and my weekly video-gaming sessions. I'll go through cycles where I post more fandom stuff, then other cycles where I post more RL stuff, but it evens out eventually.

distorted_r

We share some fandoms, FMA, Glee, Mass Effect and I'm sure some others I am not aware of just yet. I saw a list in your journal naming some games off, some of which, like Allan Wake I have on steam waiting to be played, I see potential. I also have weekly video game discussion posts based on what I'm playing. As for books, I read mostly classics. I don't judge people's RL of fandom interests. I like to talk about them and analyze certain characters and pairings and maybe sine RL situations I have had some experience with too, but I don't give opinions generally, unless mine is asked directly or the post is written in a way that leaves it open for opinions. Judgement, though? Never.

I want to double check on sexual content and ranting thing though first. XD My journal doesn't have porn, aside from some soft core fanart that I put under cut with warnings. I do tend to have a few TMI posts here and there, that I usually cut. They are not always posted because of the sexual element, more for the LOL element. For example I discovered that I could pee while a tampon was in and posted about it win large red font, and the results were funny. So, that kind of thing is all mostly humor based. And so are any rants I have. They are more snarky humor then "omg FML FML Mode: depressed my life sucks ten paragraphs of blah blah poor me" emo crap. I'll be reviewing a game for example and go on a rant about an aspect I did not like and then I'll make fun of it. Generally I will even make fun of fandoms I do like in a snarky, sarcastic way. As for RL problems I psychologically and logically analyze the event or problem rather then just whine.

I really don't like to argue either. Yeah, discussing is fine but serious!business! confrontations about topics really stress me, unless I know the person real well; therefore, I'm sure nothing is being taken personally that I say. All I can say is that I'm usually not that serious of a person and I do laugh at myself more often then not.
arcanelegacy
Aug. 13th, 2012 04:14 am (UTC)
Mass Effect! Alan Wake! (Which is a really lovely and cinematic game, and well worth trying at least once.)

I also enjoy analyzing characters and pairings; it's half of why I enjoy fandom (and a big reason why ship wars make me sad.) I'm completely down with opinions, dissenting or otherwise, but I prefer them framed as legit discussions over displays unbridled hatred.

Oh, I don't mind it at all if it's cut and labeled! I've been in fandom long enough to know that one of its major selling points is porn. XD I guess it's really more about the context and not so much the content for me. I'm fine with blood and gore, for instance, but an uncut image of a dead rabbit on my f'list would still really throw me off, because it doesn't jive with what I usually find on it. If it's cut and labeled/warned for, then I can go in knowing what to expect (and having the option to look at it on my own computer, as opposed to my work computer).

...Basically, surprise!anything startles me, but if it's labeled then IDGAF what it is, if I'm curious or the story/pairing/what have you intrigues me, I'll click through.

As for the ranting bits - I don't have anything against ranting, really, I'm just not really good at dealing with people who always rant and never seem to see the positive (or even just ironically humorous) side of things sometimes. (Supposedly I'm a very empathetic person, which might be why that's hard for me - I want, instinctively, to make things better, but I also don't want to make things worse, and if I don't know someone and all they're doing is posting about negative things, I can't find the right words to make things better, and that stresses me out.) I definitely get that bad days happen, as do bad strings of days, and if ranting about them makes you feel better then go for it! But if all you ever have to discuss is negative goings on, and then comments to my journal follow that same negative-seeking pattern, then I probably won't be able to engage back.

I mean, even I've ranted and raved about things that upset me - fandom-related or IRL-related, but I don't like to make that the bulk of my posts because I've known IRL emotional vampires and I do not want to be that person to anyone else, y'know?

I also make fun of fandoms I love. :D It's part of it, for me, showing that I don't always take it totally seriously.

I avoid confrontation even with people I know well, sadly. It's taken me years but I've finally managed to start putting my foot down if people really upset me, but so far that's the closest I've been able to get to confronting people (unless I'm absolutely cornered and have no other way out.) I am generally not super serious either and definitely laugh at myself at any opportunity.
distorted_r
Aug. 13th, 2012 04:37 am (UTC)
Ah, okay. Yeah, no pictures of creepy dead things here. XD That clears it all up, I don't think I have any of those issues, and I don't think I could make the "emotional vampire" kind of quota for a post even if I tried. I kind of just rofl at those kind of posts or do feel bad if I know the person well.

So now that is settled out, want to try being friends? XD You sound awesome to me.

We have a lot of stuff in common, just looking at your profile. ATLA, Daft Punk, FMA, Percy Jackson, just to name a few. And animation is practically my life right now, so that's a big one.

I don't talk a lot about ideologies or politics; my stuff's mostly random drivel that sometimes go off the rails. But yeah, I see what you mean by that; I just let people start the conversation, and I'll just throw in my opinions if I'm asked to (or not).

And I feel you on college killing the ability to draw for fun; I'm still trying to get that feeling back, though. Mostly it's all been set for full-on improvement, but at times it still feels like fun :D

So, care to be friends? :)
arcanelegacy

ANIMATION! I'd have gone into animation myself if I hadn't realized a few years back that my style doesn't have the right consistency to be good for it, and that my hand is really bad at adapting to other styles. I still sometimes toy with going back to school for environment design and development, though. THAT would be something I could probably handle. XD

Politics and ideologies are kinda like Fight Club to me: the first rule is that you just don't talk about them. It's safer and easier that way. I am not without opinions on things and do try to keep up with current events, but I generally don't air my thoughts on them out on LJ or Tumblr or wherever else.

I have random luck with it sometimes. I think I'm hindered by the fact that I also do art for work, so going right home and doing more art just doesn't appeal to me right now. I've been writing, though, which I've always felt I was a bit better at than drawing.

Sure! I am always eager to have more artist friends! You never can have enough!

I will whine, cry, bitch, moan, and complain about everything that I think is really important. I fangirl and post about it frequently

My favorite type of journal! Ranting and fangirling are my things and boy do I love reading other people's too.

I share Avengers, the Phoenix Wright series, and Person 4 with you as far as fandom goes. Maybe more if I knew all he games you've played (gaming is my main fandom genre).

I'm non of the things you can't stand, and maybe all the things you like, depending if you find my humor funny. XD

Feel free to take a look at my profile and go through my interests and see if you agree that we have enough in common, if so, I'd be happy to be your friend. :)

Name/Age/Location: I'll stick with Tkeyla for now; way older than most; southern United States

A little Info About Yourself : I did have a job until I quit 10 months ago. I have returned to college to get an Associates Degree in Simulation and Game Design - a field about which I know absolutely nothing. I'm not even a gamer. I'd love to hear from people who are gamers - what would your perfect game consist of? (I'm especially interested in female perspectives.)

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Big fan of SF. I guess that's really about it.

Other Interests or Hobbies: I have six dogs. They are the only hobby anyone needs! I also love watching American football and am very excited that the season is about to start.

Fandoms:  Star Trek TOS & AOS are my #1 fandoms. For the past year, Hawaii Five-0 has taken over my life. And the Avengers are trying to make their way into my fandom life. But I'm just not a multi-fandom kind of girl.

Pairings:   Kirk/Spock; Steve/Danny (H50); Avengers: wide open

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal:   Constant "woe is me." Life gets hard for all of us but do you have to tell us every single BAD thing that has ever happened to you? And people who don't use appropriate LJcuts. Please take up my entire Friend's page talking about a topic we don't have in common.

What You Like In a Person sense of humor, sense of adventure, don't take themselves seriously, open to other opinions and ways of thinking

What My Journal Consist of: 85% fanfic, 15% RL stuff

We have a lot of stuff in common, like Pan's Labyrinth, FMA, Marvel and DC, and Silent Hill, to name a few. And fairy lights sound cool, indeed; I'd decorate everything with them if I had the time. :D Can I add you?

Hi,
I like reading about British people and I like hearing stories from fellow students. We also have a few fandoms in common and the content of your journal is exactly what I like reading. May I add you?

Name/Age/Location: Lye

A little Info About Yourself: Student (there will be rants about papers). I study art history and philosophy.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Anime, video games, and the occasional TV show.

Other Interests or Hobbies: I like to draw/paint and write. I'm an avid reader; tastes range from Platonic philosophy to quantum physics. I also travel a lot.

Fandoms: Currently, I'm on a Bleach and Final Fantasy roll. Others include Avatar the Last Airbender/Korra, Rome (HBO Series), Devil May Cry, Naruto, Pokemon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, anything Miyazaki, and plenty of others.

Pairings: Het, slash, selfcest, you name it. Everyone/everyone. However, I do have a tendency to favor non-canon, rare, and unusual pairings.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Asshats and people who take themselves or fandom too seriously.

What You Like In a Person: Sarcastic, snarky, open-minded, intelligent. (It helps if you're cute. ^_~)

What My Journal Consist of: Fandom, real life, school.

Fuck yeah, someone mentioned Rome (HBO). Been awhile since someone gave a shit about that series, and the detail put into that series to grasp the era was amazing.

Your likes and dislikes match mine and I see some other fandoms we have in common. Plus, someone for pro-choice always gets a + in my book.

Want to be friends?

I'm so happy you appreciate Rome. I agree, this show needs more love/exposure/GDI, another season to properly wrap things up.

Added you! :)

Name/Age/Location: Kalli, 30+, Michigan/USA

A little Info About Yourself : Single, just moved into a new place, and a teller-line supervisor at a midwestern bank.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Mostly anime, video games, and other Eastern Media, though I am familiar with a lot of other stuff.

Other Interests or Hobbies: Music, model kits, general crafty stuff and writing, cemeteries, learning Japanese.

Fandoms: Gundam (mostly SEED, 00, some mid-UC), pretty much anything Square-Enix has worked on, a lot of mecha/giant robot series, GUST, Saint Seiya.

Pairings: I'm pretty equal-opportunity with pairings. If an author can make it work, I'm in.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: I'm not a rabid SJW, but I really don't like seeing racism/homophobia/other -isms/ist's. Also prefer not just seeing multiple posts of meme answers.

What You Like In a Person Kindness, enthusiasm (seriously, even if it's not my fandom, it makes me happy to see someone so into something that they're squeeing about it every day - yay for fun!), communication.

What My Journal Consist of: I just moved, so there are unfortunately a lot of posts about the new place while I settle in (as well as some of the things that have gone horribly wrong in the last couple weeks, like a pipe breaking). I f-lock anything that mentions my family or work, so at a quick glance my journal probably looks pretty sparse. ^^;; I do write and post fanfic, I try never to make more than two posts in a day. So my journal is probably a mix of all of that, along with Japanese things I'm slowly translating, fannish squee, and general silliness.

Name/Age/Location: Avi (short for Annavera), 20, maintenant Paris, France for the most perfect vacation ever but usually Innsbruck, Austria :D (At least give a name or nickname. Keeping your age and location private is fine)

A little Info About Yourself : Hmm, okay... I am an opera singer in training and all in all a veeeery huge opera and theatre geek, studying Musicology and... Did I mention the opera already? xD All in all, I... Okay, no I have absolutely no idea how to finish my sentence haha. So I guess I will just go on xD

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Books, tv shows, movies

Other Interests or Hobbies: singing, opera, theatre, more singing, shopping, reading, writing, making graphics in PS, opera, fangirling, hmm... much more, actually haha

Fandoms: Gonna go with my top three: Harry Potter, Casino Royale, Sherlock BBC ♥

Pairings: Narcissa-Lucius, James Bond - Vesper Lind, John-Sherlock (not really romantic though, just like brothers and a very very deep friendship shipping)

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: I really dont mind anything! Jus perhaps no really gross pictures without cut and warning.

What You Like In a Person nice, open-minded, not judgmental, good sense of humour, basically... well there are many things, I cannot really think of just a few!

What My Journal Consist of: ANYTHING. Honestly. Real life ramblings, fandom squee and other fandom stuff, my fanworks like fics and wallpapers, memes, just... Yeah, anything one could imagine :D

 Name/Age/Location: James/quadruplify, 23, Connecticut USA

A little Info About Yourself : I graduated from college as an environmental studies major in May 2011, and I've been unemployed since, mostly because I'm trying to sort out my mental health and figure out what to do next. If you want more, I wrote an about-me here.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Mostly animated media, though I'm hoping to branch out into other TV series as well.

Other Interests or Hobbies: Reading, writing, music, learning languages, being politically aware, sleeping -- all of which I need to do more of. XD

Fandoms: My big ones are Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra and Community; I also dabble in BBC Sherlock, Durarara!!, Evangelion, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Pairings:  Mostly canon and m/m slash pairings; a plus if they are rare and/or unusual. Right now I'm into Sokka/Zuko, Zuko/Aang, Kataang, Bato/Hakoda, Amon/Lieutenant, Noatak/Tarrlok, and Mittermeyer/Reuenthal.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal:  Victim complexes. Ranting and venting is perfectly healthy, but if you complain and swear up and down at length about everything that happens to you, chances are we won't get along.

What You Like In a Person Intelligence and self-awareness are the important ones. Other than that, if we click, we click. ^_^;

What My Journal Consist of: Mostly RL stuff, music, and memes. As much as I am into fandom, I don't normally post about it on my journal, but I do occasionally.

Name/Age/Location: Jacqueline/27/Tampa, FL

A little Info About Yourself : I've been a fan of anime for over a decade so you can all refer to me as the old lady who likes anime. XD I'm looking to get more active in fandom these days and have a fic or two in the works. Also, I'm starting a small side business with cute and crafty things.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Not a long active list, but I've played around with a crazy number of fandoms. Current fandoms I contribute to are Prince of Tennis and Inception Arthur/Eames. I read lots of other stuff though, if that counts.

Other Interests or Hobbies: Crochet, video games, reading (I LOVE TERRY PRATCHETT!), baking though haven't been doing much of that lately because I don't have my own place.

Fandoms: Oops, guess I already did this though my fan list also includes Naruto, Weiss, Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Bleach (but only Chad/Ishida). There are more, I am not posting them all.

Pairings: Arthru/Eames (SO TASTY!), the whole fucking cast of TeniPuri is a gay fuckfest, I mean really, pick a pairing and I'll probably go with it! Hiei/Kurama (OLD SCHOOL< YO!), Ken/Omi, Youji/Aya, Aya/Omi, Nagi/Omi, Chad/Ishida (OMG! THE CONTRAST!)

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Um... general talking out of one's ass? Like saying shit that's generally offensive in a really horrible way: e.g. "In cases of "legitimate rape" women's bodys will prevent the pregnancy" (Oh those wacky tea partyers!)

What You Like In a PersonGood sense of humor, general irreverence is appreciated, dorkiness because it makes me look more socially acceptable, Geekiness so we can have things to talk about, nice is good, but not necessary. I'm friends with Pix, after all. XD

What My Journal Consist of: Good, god. Not much right now, I can admit that. I suppose I'll start posting again. I can't say what'll be on it, but I suspect it will largely be bitching about work. Perhaps some links to funny/interesting videos.

Name/Age/Location: Shannon, 25, Colorado

A little Info About Yourself: Right now, I'm unemployed with a degree in business administration and accounting. I don't know how that happened, but. So right now, I'm job hunting, and playing video games.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In: Oh jeez. Video games, TV, movies, not so much anime anymore, but I still do enjoy some occasionally!

Other Interests or Hobbies: I like writing when I get inspired. I also like music and reading. I used to be really into RPing, but I don't do it much anymore. I still do it occasionally though.

Fandoms: Hmmm. I guess: Red vs. Blue, Harry Potter, That '70s Show, Sonic the Hedgehog, Marvel Movieverse, and Skyrim.

Pairings: Oh gosh. I like mostly slash, but I do enjoy the occasional het pairings. Not really a fan of crack pairings, but some of them I can get behind.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Really, the only thing that bothers me is poor grammar and spelling. I wince, but it doesn't bother me so much that I have to make a huge deal about it. One of my best friend's bf is the worst speller I've ever seen. So it's not that bad, haha. Oh, and guilt trips. Oh my god, I hate that.

What You Like In a Person: Someone who can put up with me lol. No, I like people who have a great sense of humor, because I love to laugh and I really like hilarious things. Someone who isn't judgmental is also good. Also, someone that can take a joke, because I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and I like to be able to tease someone without them getting offended. Also, someone who doesn't get offended easily, but I have a kind of inappropriate sense of humor as well

What My Journal Consist of: Mostly fandom, but occasionally I talk about RL stuff. And I love memes. Especially 30 day challenges, haha. I would say about 50% fandom, 30% meme/quiz, and 20% RL stuff.

Fandoms: Dragon Age series. Kpop. Twin Peaks/Anything David Lynch. Star Wars. Idk..I just like lots of stuffs.

Pairings: My biggest pairing would be me & Fenris. *le shrug* lol.

What You Just Can’t Stand In a Journal: Nothing that I can think of. Even if you're an arrogant & judgmental asshole, I'll try to take you for who you are. Folks be different ya know?

What You Like In a Person Good sense of humor. Someone not easily offended as I tend to cuss like a sailor.
